Andrew was a household robot, in the begging he was
cleaning listened to all the commands they gave. Then one day one of the sisters
asked Andrew to jump out of the window, then he started to be curious and
creative; like humans. I think Andrew would fail the turingtest
before he fell out of the window. I think Andrew would pass the turingtest after he fell out the window because he started
to act more human like.
The movie Andrew is just and appliance,
but then after he fell, he started to do human like things. In the movie he was
suppose to just take care of the house and obey the master’s orders. Then he
started liking music, he wanted to have a friendly relationship with his
master, and he was creative. I think an appliance is when the robot is just
doing a specific thing that they’re supposed to do. “Alive” I think is when the
robot starts to think, learn, be creative and enjoys stuff. Because if I wanted
to have and appliance that can help me cook, and a robot that can be my best
friend than that’s different.
Andrew’s master gave him books to read
so he can learn stuff. He learned that the only thing
Andrew fell in love with Porcha, and he wanted to marry her. The movie said he is
supposed to be human to be able to marry her, but he is just and AI. So they
denied him as a human being. I think if a human is in love with and intelligent
robot. I think they should have the right to marry them. Because it’s wrong if
they’re not able to marry somebody they love.
Andrew was trying to get accepted as a
human, but was denied. The movie said he wasn’t human because of his brain,
he’s just a chip. I think if they speak, hear, see, and look like a human they
should be a human. If robots start to do bad things. I think they should be
trialed and imprisoned.
In the movie they said people don’t want
to live for the rest of their lives, so the movie thinks it’s bad. I think
it’ll be bad for humanity. It would be Bicentennial Man,
they would have organs replaced with robot like organs.
